“ROUTE 45 BAND”

 

The Route 45 Band was founded in 1997 by Karen & Tim Kelly of Wellsville, Ohio.  The Basis of the band started out as a get-together among friends to play music and sing songs that they all knew.  Within a short period of time a desire to perform in public was fueled by friends and relatives who thought that it was time to get out of the living room and start cruising on stage where they could do what they loved.  Then came the problem that faces every new band, “What do we call ourselves?  All of the good names have been used and reused.”  The thought came to Karen, the lead vocalist, that since they lived on RT 45 and that’s where they first started, the band should be called the “ROUTE 45 BAND”.  And so it began….

 

The “ROUTE 45 BAND” did their first job in 1998 and have never really looked in the rear view mirror.  The band has a loyal following, many of which have been there since inception and continue to support Karen and the band whenever and wherever possible.  Although there have been a few personnel changes, the core has remained the same— Karen doing the majority of the vocals and Tim behind her on the drums.  To sum it up, if you are looking to have a good time, listen to great music, and meet new friends, don’t detour somewhere else or bypass a good thing.  Take a trip down the road with the “ROUTE 45 BAND”.
